Quran Foundation (Basic Tajweed)

Basic Tajweed is the course is offered for the learners at the Level-I that is very basic. This includes The Arabic alphabets, their characteristics and the simple rules with general understanding and practice.

There are about 20 to 25 lesson which are covered in this simple course. The kids are taught this basic tajweed course with applied way using the traditional Qaida or Quran Foundation Course. The following key concepts are discussed:

1- Pronunciation of the Arabic alphabets with the proper points of origin.

2- The different sounds and characteristic of the letters i.e being bold and being whistling.

3- The signs of the letters which are used to produce different sounds of the alphabets.

4- Letters of Madd and Leen ( Long vowels and Soft letter)

5- The silent sign ( Sukoon or Jazam)

6- Rules of Noon Sakinah and Tanween

7- Rules of Meem Sakinah

8- Rules of the letter Raa

9- Rules of the letter Laam in the word of Allah S.W.T

10- Rules of Waqf ( The proper way of pausing and stopping)

Basic Tajweed covers  the above mentioned concepts and rules which are taught with little details and with applied approach for adults. But for the kids as mentioned, it is taught with applied approach with out explaining the detailed rules. At the completion of the is course the student can read by himself/herself and can be fluent soon with 4-7 months depending on the level of understanding and the number of days given to cover the course as per schedule. The is very simple and easy course that enable a none-Arab to read the Holy Quran with Tajweed. In-Shaa-Allah.
